According to Webster's Dictionary, a social construct is an idea that has been created and accepted by society as a result of human interaction and reflect shared ideas or perceptions. However, they ONLY exist because people in a group or society accept that they do. We don't have to accept society's perception of gender roles, race, wealth class, etc. We CAN ban social constructs if we choose not to accept or support their existence.
